Midway ISD offers retirement programs to its employees through the use of 403(b) tax deferred annuities and 457 deferred compensation and the Teachers Retirement System (TRS). These plans allow employees to save designated amounts out of their paychecks before tax and place them into a variety of mutual funds, variable annuities and fixed annuities. Any earnings grow tax deferred until withdrawn and are intended to supplement your TRS Pension Plan.

Founded in 1849 by the Huaco Indians, Waco is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin. The City is the birthplace of Dr Pepper, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
Waco offers some major attractions, five historic homes, seven recreational venues, and nine arts organizations staging theatrical and musical productions, as well as art exhibitions.
Nestled along the banks of the Brazos River in Waco, Texas, Baylor provides many educational and research opportunities across various disciplines.
GT Teachers Jennifer Wyble and Jennifer Stanley lead imaginative Destination Imagination teams. Outside of the classroom, "the Jennifers" explore Lake Waco, the Brazos River and Bosque River via kayaks.
Midway Middle School Teacher Bob Rynearson teaches art and is an assistant coach in a dominant tennis program. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Rynearson is a talented master glassblower.
Midway High School Teacher Brady Gibson established the Project Lead the Way program with robotics and engineering successes at the state level and beyond. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Gibson is an avid cycler and helped establish a mountain biking competition.
