Prekindergarten (Ages 3-4)

Midway ISD offers full-day prekindergarten for qualifying 3-year old and 4-year old programs. (See eligibility requirements below.)

90% of human brain development happens before age 5. In other words, waiting until kindergarten to start teaching our kids is already too late. By enrolling your child in Midway ISD's Prekindergarten program, you give them the gift of a brighter future. PreK students are 3.5x more likely to be ready for kindergarten, and as adults, they also end up earning higher incomes, on average, than similar students who do not enroll in Prekindergarten.

Which School Will My Student Attend?

When you live in Midway ISD, your student will be able to enroll in the Midway district, but it does NOT guarantee which campus your student will attend. Many grade levels and campuses fill to capacity which requires late registrations to go to overflow campuses. District administration may also reconfigure attendance zones to distribute population in dense areas.
