Professional Development Schools (PDS)

Midway ISD Professional Development Schools are innovative institutions created through a partnership between the Baylor University professional education program and our district's PreK-12 schools. Their mission is to provide professional preparation for teacher candidates, through hands-on experience in the classroom, develop faculty and schools, engage in inquiry to improve practice, and enhance student learning. In collaboration with the school principal and school faculty, teacher candidates work together to advance the education of children at participating Professional Development Schools.
