Food Services
Midway ISD’s Food Services department is committed to the health and well-being of our students by offering nutritious meals. A well-balanced breakfast and lunch play a vital role in each child’s success. We believe in providing a "best in class" food and nutrition program by creating an environment that helps students flourish.
Our department follows Food Base Menu Planning. All secondary and elementary school meals meet the Recommended Daily Allowance established by the USDA and the Texas Department of Agriculture. We research and evaluate every recipe in our menu to ensure they meet nutrition requirements measured by the following categories: Saturated Fat, Total Fat, Calories, and Sodium. Ice Cream Party
Let MISD Food Services help you celebrate your child's next special occasion with an ice cream party to share with their classmates and teachers. Party includes your choice of ice cream treat for each person in the class and a birthday surprise for the birthday child.
Place your order using MySchoolBucks and select your child’s campus and school store.
Summer Meals for Kids
Announcement: Due to lack of participation in the summer feeding at MHS, August 6, 2024, will be the last day of service at Midway High School.
If you know a child in need of healthy meals this summer, tell their family about the free Summer Meals Program. It offers no-cost, nutritious meals to kids 18 and younger and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. No form of identification is required; kids simply need to show up.
MISD Summer Meals Locations:
- Hewitt Elementary / May 27 – July 25, 2024 (Closed July 4th) M-F / Breakfast & Lunch
- Midway High School / June 3-6, 2024 / Breakfast & Lunch July 24-August 6, 2024 M-F / Lunch Only - (enter through the "Big Snake" door)
- Midway Middle School / June 10-13, 2024 / Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast hours – 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Lunch hours – 11:30-12:30 Noon
