David was instrumental in pioneering the MPower Student Culinary Work Program for students with special needs.

The program is dedicated to teaching essential life skills, fostering independence, and building self-confidence. Through hands-on training in the school cafeteria, students learn food preparation, safety protocols, and customer service, gaining real-world experience and the confidence essential for life beyond school.

David also helped introduce a local high school culinary competition and mentors student participants from Midway High School.

David’s impact on students and his willingness to take on additional responsibilities voluntarily and unprompted should not go unnoticed.
