Midway High School Child Nutrition Assistant Manager David Wyrick is being honored with the Midway Extra Mile Award.

Park Hill Elementary Instructional Assistant Adrienne Pollak is being honored with the Midway Extra Mile Hero Award for her remarkable attentiveness to notice a first grader struggling to breathe in a room full of students and quickly respond.

In pursuit of safer schools, the Midway ISD Information Technology Department provides invaluable support to the district’s proactive approach to safety.

Each year, Midway ISD honors exceptional volunteers as Friends of Midway to recognize their extraordinary dedication and support of Midway schools, students, and staff. 

Just when a Midway ISD parent thought her admiration for her daughter's teacher couldn’t grow any stronger, the teacher’s heroic actions helped save her daughter from choking.

This spring, Castleman Creek Elementary School Kindergarten Teacher Stacy Spink was surprised in her classroom with the news that she has been selected as a teacher finalist in the 2023 H-E-B Excellence in Education statewide awards.

“This was the greatest gift anyone has ever given me and my family,” Peggy Pritchett, English as a Second Language program facilitator at Spring Valley Elementary School, said.

Sitting in the audience at Midway ISD’s Distinguished Service Award presentation, it was impossible not to feel inspired by the stories of life change that were shared.
