The Midway High School Wind Ensemble and a Midway soloist received national recognition in the 2024 Mark of Excellence Awards, presented by The Foundation for Music Education.

Midway ISD music programs have once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education Award, earning national recognition for 16 consecutive years.

Two Midway High School Band students earned the top honor for music students in Texas as members of the 2024 Texas Music Educators Association All-State Band.

Seniors in Midway High School’s band and orchestra programs were awarded one of the top distinctions for high school musicians in Texas.

For the 15th consecutive year, Midway ISD is being honored as one of the Best Communities in the nation for music education.

Midway and River Valley Middle School choir, orchestra, and band earned an impressive array of awards at recent UIL Concert and Sight-Reading competitions this spring, with 11 out of the 14 music groups who competed across both campuses earning sweepstakes awards, which is the highest honor available.

Once again, Midway ISD is among the Best Communities in the nation for music education. For the 14th year in a row, the district’s commitment to music education is being recognized by the NAMM Foundation as part of the Best Communities for Music Education award program.
