At Hewitt Elementary School, kindness is more than just a word— it’s part of everyday life, and the school’s commitment to making a positive impact through simple acts of kindness has earned them recognition as a "Kindness Certified School."

Midway ISD’s number of National Board Certified teachers continues to grow with the most recent teacher to join the lineup completing the rigorous certification process last month.

Hewitt Elementary School Evaluation Specialist Nancy Garcia was selected as a 2022 recipient of the Purposeful Lives Award by her alma mater, Schreiner University.

Hewitt Elementary School Principal Christy Watley was recently awarded professional honors by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association.
