After completing M Power, Midway ISD’s program for students over the age of 18 with disabilities, one Midway High School graduate is taking the next step in their educational journey.
Midway High School and M Power powerlifting athletes competed in the 2024 Texas Special Olympics Winter Games in February, bringing home a total of 12 gold medals in squat, bench press, and deadlift from the state meet.

In the 30th year of Special Olympics at Midway ISD, the high school UIL Unified Track and Field team demonstrated the program’s profound impact, winning first place at the regional meet and advancing to compete at the state level.
Midway athletes competed in the UIL Unified Track & Field Regional Meet earlier this spring, earning second place to qualify for the state meet in San Antonio.
