Each year, Midway’s Human Resource Department and Education Foundation combine resources to provide MISD paraprofessionals that hold a bachelor’s degree with scholarships to pursue their teaching certification.The GROW YOUR OWN full or partial scholarship pays for the MCC alternative certification program including coursework and internship. In addition, the awardees are provided a Midway mentor during the internship period of the program, as well as supervision and support from the district mentor coordinator.If you are a paraprofessional who has earned a bachelor's degree and are interested in pursuing alternative teaching certification beginning in June must apply by late March/early April annually.(Applicants must be accepted to MCC Alternative Teacher Certification Program in order to be awarded a scholarship.)
