Midway Elementary and Middle Schools Climb in U.S. News State Rankings

U.S. News and World Report evaluated thousands of elementary and middle schools to identify the top performers in their 2024 rankings. Since U.S. News first ranked elementary and middle schools in 2021, Midway campuses have moved up in the state rankings.

South Bosque Elementary is ranked number one in Midway ISD elementary schools and is in the top 1.2% in the state at number 77 out of nearly 6,500 elementary schools ranked in Texas, including private, charter, and magnet schools.

Additionally, Midway Middle School is in the top 6% statewide out of over 4,000 public, private, charter, and magnet middle schools ranked in Texas.

These rankings consider both student proficiency in math and reading state assessments along with socioeconomic demographics. Simply put, top-ranked schools are high-achieving and have succeeded in educating all of their students.
