Midway High School senior Caleb McCarver ended the 2024 cross country season with a strong performance at the 6A state meet.

McCarver placed 84th out of 151 of Texas' top high school runners with a 5k time of 16:24.
The first-time state qualifier earned his spot at the state meet after finishing 11th overall in the Region II-6A championships and winning first place at district.

Midway High School Boys Cross Country—led by Coach Jon Capron—also celebrated a successful season as a team, taking home the district championship title and placing 9th out of 24 teams at regionals.
