Seventeen Midway ISD students advanced to the state level of the PTA Reflections art contest this spring and were awarded by Texas PTA for their outstanding artwork.

In Niche.com’s 2023 rankings, Midway ISD continues to be recognized as one of the top 15 school districts in Texas, earning the title of #1 Best School District in McLennan County and the Waco Area with an overall grade of A+ for the sixth consecutive year and ranking among the top 3% of school districts in America.

When South Bosque Elementary third grader August Blankenstein saw a family member in trouble, he knew exactly what to do and quickly called for help. He was recognized by a Woodway police officer last week for his bravery.

It’s no secret that Midway staff are always willing to go the extra mile, and that’s exactly what Lindsey Pick, fourth grade teacher at South Bosque Elementary School, did last week by saving the life of a fellow teacher.
