Niche Ranks Midway ISD #1 District in Waco Area for 7th Straight Year
Niche.com assessed thousands of public schools in Texas to determine the highest-achieving school districts along with top-performing elementary, middle, and high schools in their rankings for the upcoming year.
In the 2024 rankings, Midway ISD received high praise as the #1 Best School District in McLennan County and the Waco Area for the seventh year in a row with an overall grade of A+.
Midway ISD also swept the public school categories as home to the #1 Best Public Elementary, Middle, and High School in McLennan County.
Out of over 1,000 school districts ranked in Texas, Midway ISD is the only McLennan County district to earn a spot in the top 75, ranking among the top 3% of districts in the state at #23. Additionally, Midway ISD ranks among the top 3% of over 10,000 school districts in America.
South Bosque Elementary School is ranked as the #1 Best Public Elementary School in McLennan County and the Waco Area and is among the top 3.3% statewide out of nearly 4,700 public elementary schools ranked in Texas.
River Valley Middle School is ranked as the #1 Best Public Middle School in McLennan County and the Waco Area and is among the top 3.6% of over 2,200 public middle schools in Texas.
Midway High School is ranked #1 in Waco Area and McLennan County public high schools with an overall grade of A+ and is among the top 4.3% of over 1,800 high schools ranked in Texas. Niche.com also ranks MHS as the #1 Best College Prep Public High School in McLennan County.
