High School Students Recognized as All-State Artists in Statewide Contest

Four Midway High School art students advanced to the state Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) contest.

At the state event, sophomore Julianna Aiken and freshman Danna Ainsworth were named All-State Artists for receiving exemplary ratings on their artwork and were awarded medals.

Only the top 7% of students in Texas earn medals at the state level.

Additionally, sophomores Grace Eckert and Campbell White also qualified to bring their artwork to state, placing them among the top 10% of VASE entries in Texas.

These students are taught by Midway High School Art Teachers Caleb Bales and John Storm.
