On Saturday, September 21, Midway High School Choir students traveled to Belton High School for the Texas Music Educators Association Region 8 Choir Auditions.
MHS had 43 students selected for the Choir, 33 of whom are advancing to the Pre-Area round of the All-State process.
Students who were selected are:
Soprano 1:
Madeleine Denman, Blessing Zi, Hannah Rose, Ashlyn LaStrape, Maci White, Madelyne Ortiz, Cora Gainor, and Holly Carpenter.
Soprano 2:
Millie Cherry, Isabel Illing, Gabriela Gonzalez, and Katie Partin.
Alto 1:
Elizabeth Eggleston, Sofia Mata, Grace Patrick, Madison Brodie, Abigail Harris, Ellie Atkinson, Jordan Hipp, and Jayla Stewart.
Alto 2:
Madison Follis, Amy Agado, and Avery Hubbard.
Tenor 1:
Jack Davis, Mason Cole, Tyler DeLozier, Josiah Henry, and Peyton Alexander.
Tenor 2:
Asher Beck, Sam Conaway, LeAngel Rodriguez, Jude Garcia, Adrian Benavidez, and Caleb Beck.
Bass 1:
Jackson Owen, Jorden Johnson, Micah Thomas, Reagan Corley, Eddie Dwyer, and Jayden Tellado.
Bass 2:
Mark Hall, Nico Garcia, and Johnny Holden.
Students will be participating in the Region 8 All-Region Clinic/Concert on Saturday, November 16 at University High School. The culminating concert will begin at 5 p.m. in the UHS Performing Arts Center.
