Stacy Spink, a first-grade teacher at Castleman Creek Elementary, has been named the 2025 SCAN SUP Outstanding Cooperating Teacher, and Caitlin Casassa, an intern at Woodway Elementary, received the 2025 SCAN SUP Most Outstanding Clinical Teacher Award.

"Ms. Spink's dedication, leadership, and impact as both a teacher and mentor truly stand out," said Assistant Principal Lauren Phipps. "She not only creates a welcoming and engaging classroom for her students but also sets an incredible example for future educators."

Spink was recognized for seamlessly working with teaching associates, mentoring clinical teachers, and fostering a culture of collaboration within her school.

Casassa, nominated by Dr. Shanna Attai, was praised for her creative teaching strategies and her commitment to making sure every student feels included.

This recognition highlights Midway ISD’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence and its strong partnership with Baylor’s School of Education to support and develop future teachers.
