Several Midway High School Career and Technical Education students have achieved top honors in national cybersecurity programs, earning recognition as National Cyber Scholars and Cyberpatriot National Semifinalists.

Midway High School sophomore Stephanie Starks won first place in the 2023 Congressional App Challenge in Texas’ 17th Congressional District for the app she created called “Pollinator Party.”

The District is exploring the opportunity to utilize Tango Flight— a curriculum that allows students to build a plane over a two-year time period.

As some of the youngest students in their competitions, two Midway FFA teams placed among the top 10 in Texas this summer. 

Midway High School Esports continues to level up! After an impressive performance in the Texas Esports League finals, students Anthony Ho, Ryan Jones, and Aidan Witt emerged as the 2023 High School Knockout City State Champions.

Students from Midway High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter excelled at this year’s state and national competitions, bringing home national champion titles in multiple events.

Three students from Midway High School’s HOSA-Future Health Professionals chapter were awarded at the state competition in March and qualified to compete at the HOSA International Leadership Conference this summer.

A group of Midway High School students is receiving recognition from two respected national programs—the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation (NCSF) and CyberPatritot—for their mastery of cybersecurity concepts cultivated through Midway’s career and technical education program.
